VOCABULARY #4 and sentences
Coherent- an agreement
I made a coherent with my counselor to be good and pass my classes.
Belabor- argue
I hate belaboring with my brother.
Eschew-avoid using
Most people eschew drugs while on probation.
Acquisitive- excessively interested
Most people are acquisitive in football.
Emulate- match or surpass
I want to emulate those shoes
Banal- lacking in originality as to obvious and boring
Some music is so banal
Excoriation- harsh criticism
I always say excoriating things to my mom about her looks.
Congeal-solid or coagulate, especially by cooling
Ice is congeal.
Carping- difficult to please
My mom is so carping.
Substantiate- provide evidence to support the truth.
Cops substantiate everything for the judge.
Temporize- avoid making a decision or committing
The gang bangger  Temporize with stealing.
Largesse-generosity in bestowing money or gifts upon others
The homeless man was largesse when it came to Christmas.
Tenable-able to be maintained or defended against attack.
Army people are thought to be tenable.
Insatiable- impossible to satisfy
My mothers husband is so insatiable with everything.
Reconnaissance-military observation
Some militaries are reconnaissance.
Germaine- relevant to a subject
People are Germaine in collage.
Ratify- sign or give formal consent to
The government has to ratify legal papers for immigrants to live here.
Intransigent-unwilling or refuse to change ones view or agree on something
My moms husband is intransigent about everything.
Taciturn- reserved or uncommunicative in speech; saying little
I'm very taciturn when it comes to presentations.
